General automations
An automatic access must move predictably, stop when needed and integrate with the daily use of the space. We create automations for gates, doors, garages, barriers and electric car ports, selecting controls and safety measures based on the actual opening.
Movement becomes a controlled function.
Weight, dimensions, passage frequency, wind, slopes and available space change the behavior of each gate. A correct automation therefore requires a mechanical and electrical survey, in addition to checking the points where people or vehicles can enter the movement area. The motor is only one part of the system: safety devices, controls and logic must work together.
Telecom Security designs automation in relation to access and usage modes. Remote controls, intercoms, badges or other consents can be coordinated without confusing the command with movement protection. In existing gates we assess the condition of the structure and compatibility before proposing upgrades. Final adjustments are tested on site, because timings and forces must match real conditions.
Gate survey
Verification of structure, weight, travel, clearances, usage frequency, power supply and possible interference points.
Motorization and control
Selection of actuation and control unit based on the movement and required operational cycle.
Safety devices
Definition of necessary protections in transit areas and along the gate travel.
Opening consents
Coordination of remote controls, intercom or access control according to users and flows.
Adjustment and testing
Setting parameters and verifying behavior under actual usage conditions.
How we work
- 01
Mechanical survey
We check geometry, structure, travel, usage frequency and available power supplies.
- 02
Functional design
We define actuation, safeties, commands and behavior under normal and abnormal conditions.
- 03
Installation
We install components and wiring, coordinating with auxiliary works required for the gate.
- 04
Adjustment and instruction
We test cycles and devices, then explain usage, expected release and controls to be planned.
Frequently asked questions
Can an existing gate be automated?
Often yes, but first it is necessary to check sliding or hinges, rigidity, weight, maneuvering space and the condition of the structure. Automating a gate that moves poorly does not solve the mechanical problem. The site survey helps determine which adjustments are needed before motorization.
Can automation be controlled by intercom or badge?
Yes, if compatible interfaces are available. The intercom or access control provides the consent, while the automation central unit manages movement and safety devices. This separation makes system behavior clearer and facilitates diagnosis of any anomalies.
What happens in case of power loss?
The answer depends on the automation and the site’s requirements. Manual release procedures or backup power supplies may exist, but they must be chosen and explained in the design. It is important that responsible persons know the prescribed procedure and that access to emergency controls remains managed.
