2. Processed data and collection methods
We may process the following categories of data:
- technical navigation data, such as IP address, request date and time, requested page, browser, operating system and technical information required for transmission and site security, normally recorded in server logs;
- contact data and communication content voluntarily provided via e‑mail, phone or other channels indicated on the site;
- data related to requests, offers and contractual relationships, when needed to prepare a consultation, a site visit, an offer or to carry out a task;
- data related to technical cookies described in the following section.
3. Purpose of processing
The data are processed to make the site available and secure, diagnose technical issues, respond to requests, prepare offers, organise site visits, carry out pre‑contractual or contractual measures, fulfil legal obligations and protect any legal claims. We do not use the data collected from the site for automated individual decisions or profiling.
4. Cookies and visit measurement
The site uses only proprietary and technical functions in its current configuration:
ticinoweb_visit_AAAAMMGG: first‑party technical cookie, valid for 24 hours, used to avoid counting the same visit multiple times in a day. The system stores only aggregated daily totals, without creating individual profiles;- WordPress technical cookies: used only when an authorized person accesses the admin area or when required for session and security functions.
In the current configuration Google Analytics, advertising pixels, remote fonts, embedded maps or videos hosted on external platforms are not active. If in the future tools that are not strictly necessary are introduced, this notice and any consent mechanisms will be updated before activation.
5. Recipients and data controllers
The data may be accessible to authorized personnel and, when necessary, to providers that manage hosting, IT maintenance, communications or professional services on behalf of Telecom Security SA. These parties may process the data only for the purposes assigned and with appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. Data may also be disclosed to authorities or third parties when required by law or necessary to assert, exercise or defend a right. Personal data are not sold.
6. Transfers abroad
The site currently does not integrate analysis or marketing services that involve automatic data transfers to foreign providers. If an operational provider processes data outside Switzerland, Telecom Security SA will verify the existence of an adequate level of protection or will adopt the safeguards required by the LPD and will inform the concerned individuals when necessary.
7. Retention
The data are retained for the period necessary for the purposes indicated and then deleted or anonymised, unless legal retention obligations or the need to protect claims apply. Daily visit counts are aggregated and kept for a maximum of about 400 days; the related cookie expires after 24 hours. Technical log retention times depend on the security and maintenance settings of the infrastructure. Communications and documents related to offers or assignments are retained for the duration of the relationship and for the subsequent applicable legal periods.
8. Security
We adopt technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk to protect data from unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. However, no transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure.
9. Rights of data subjects
Within the limits provided by the LPD, you may request information about your data, obtain correction or deletion, object to certain processing and request delivery or transmission of the data when the conditions are met. The request can be sent to info@telecomsecurity.ch. To protect the data we may request information useful to verify the identity of the requesting person.
10. External links and updates
The site may contain links to third‑party sites, which operate under their own responsibility and according to their own privacy notices. This notice may be updated in case of regulatory, organisational or technical changes; the version published on this page is the applicable one.
